Victorian AOD Service Users’ Needs and Experiences during the COVID-19 Crisis

The Association of Participating Service Users (APSU) is a Victorian consumer representative body at the Self Help Addiction Resource Centre (SHARC). APSU was set up to ensure the voices, opinions and experience of consumers are heard, respected and integrated into service and policy development.

With the implementation of restrictions due to COVID-19, AOD service providers needed to reinvent the way they provided services. This report is from a consultation with 32 people who accessed AOD treatment services between March and May 2020 to find out from consumers themselves about their needs and experiences during COVID-19 restrictions.
