Healthy Me, Healthy Planet project

The Healthy Me, Healthy Planet project is facilitated by the Whitehorse Manningham Libraries in partnership with Deakin University. The project is helping to empower the local community with the skills and knowledge to improve personal health and wellbeing outcomes while reducing individual contribution to climate change.

Through promoting simple and healthy lifestyle challenges, free public programs and information guides, the project will help people feel more empowered to make healthy choices for themselves, their family and the environment.

The themes are:

  • environmental volunteering,
  • increasing active transport,
  • cooking and eating a plant-based diet,
  • drinking tap water,
  • growing own produce,
  • recycling, and
  • shopping locally and sustainably.
