Decluttering & Hoarding

Sometimes people live with a tendency to collect more items than they intend and struggle to let them go. For some, this can lead to significant distress and risks, especially when linked with hoarding behaviours.

Australian research estimates that more than 600,000 people (2.6% of the population) may experience hoarding disorder.

In this portal, you will find a range of information, tools and local programs to assist practitioners in responding and preventing overwhelming clutter and hoarding in the northern and eastern region of Melbourne.

This information was initially collated by the Maroondah Hoarding & Squalor Network, but is relevant across the region.
