Regional Family Violence Partnership - 2021 Update

RFVP 2021 Update

The Regional Family Violence Partnership (RFVP) has a busy and exciting 2021 planned as they look forward to reuniting with some of their partners face-to-face. The RFVP are continuing to progress their strategic action plan for 2020-2021 with work being done to prepare the region for the Orange Doors; our first family violence therapeutic community of practice commencing; and several working groups driving initiatives aimed at building workforce capacity and capability to respond to family violence in the Eastern Metropolitan Region (EMR).

Cross Sector Integration Grants

A key priority continues to be building an integrated and collaborative family violence system so that people responding to family violence receive a consistent and coordinated service wherever they enter the system. The RFVP are inviting applications for Cross Sector Integration Grants of up to $5000 per organisation to strengthen integration, knowledge and understanding across sectors. These grants can be used for trainings, forums, projects or resources. Go to the RFVP website to view guidelines and download an application form.

Training & Events

As always, the RFVP are running a number of events throughout 2021 including:

  • Training on Resisting Collusion with Male Perpetrators (1st April 2021 and 2nd June 2021)
  • Safe and Secure (22nd June 2021)
  • The bi-annual forum Navigating Family Violence Pathways for workers new to the sector or the EMR in the coming months (Date TBA).

MARAM Collaborative Practice Training

This training runs weekly and is open to any professionals who respond to family violence in their work. At this training practitioners will learn about the MARAM framework and how to work collaboratively with other professionals to share information, develop a risk management plan and maintain perpetrator visibility.

To register for trainings and to stay up-to-date with family violence news and events in the EMR, subscribe to the RFVP newsletter at via the website.
