Healthy Sports Reward initiative: Yarra Ranges
The Healthy Sports Reward initiative will see some junior clubs in 5 local councils including the Yarra Ranges offer free or discounted access to healthy activities at local pools or sports facilities.
This initiative brings together VicHealth, local councils and sporting clubs to celebrate children's sporting achievements in an active and healthy way, free from unhealthy food and drink advertising.
Yarra Ranges
The initiative in the Yarra Ranges is being coordinated by Inspiro for Yarra Ranges Council, in partnership with VicHealth and Belgravia Leisure.
Healthy sports rewards in the form of family and single passes to Belgravia sports and recreational centres are being offered. Once reviewed, it is hoped that the initiative will continue as its a positive step forward to ensuring healthier sporting environments for children.
