LGBTQIA+ Youth in Boroondara and Manningham
There is very limited localised data on the experience of LGBTQIA+ young people. Access Health and Community and headspace Hawthorn wanted to address this gap and co-designed a survey with a group of young people to try and understand their experience.
A total of 150 young people aged 12-25 that live, work or play in Boroondara and Manningham completed the two surveys which included questions around;
- demographic data
- perception of safety
- awareness and experience of accessing services
- access of LGBTQIA+ supports
- favourite and least favourite things about being a young person.
