Meet Sensitive Santa

The Sensitive Santa program from healthAbility is designed for children with unique needs or abilities such as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, with sensory requirements or still developing socially. The program has been running since 2016 and caters for children of all ages, including teenagers.

In 2020, Sensitive Santa was held a little bit differently with online sessions being offered. Children met Sensitive Santa in a free private 20 minute online remote session with their families in the comfort of their own home. Families were able to receive a recording of their Sensitive Santa session, which allowed them to keep and experience the memories as many times as they like.

All bookings were followed up with a phone call to discuss the child or children's current likes, dislikes and any additional information that can be provided to Santa to help make this a positive experience.
