Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV)

Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) was established in 1996 and is the leading public oral health agency in Victoria.

Funded by the State Government, DHSV aims to improve the oral health of all Victorians, particularly vulnerable groups and those most in need.

DHSV provide a number of oral health resources for professionals including:

  • Aboriginal health workers
  • Aged care workers
  • Diabetes educators
  • Dietitians
  • disability support workers
  • early childhood, primary and secondary educators
  • GPs and Pharmacists
  • Health promotion officers
  • Maternal and child health nurses
  • Midwives
  • Oral health professionals
  • School nurses.

There are a range of resources including factsheets and guidelines that provide information for health professionals and community health service providers. The resources can be used within practices, for oral health promotion or other oral health promotion initiatives.
