The Unheard Story: The impact of gender on social inclusion for older women

Women are over-represented in populations at high risk for social exclusion. Women’s Health East, with the support of the Inner East Primary Care Partnership, released ‘The Unheard Story’: The impact of gender on social inclusion for older women.

The report highlights how current narratives continue to disadvantage older women by failing to recognise the lifelong impacts of inequality that are further compounded in later years.

The report includes recommendations for organisations, groups and practitioners to address the unique needs of older women.
