Three Sides of the Coin

The Three Sides of the Coin project places people with lived experience of gambling harm as consultants for change. Participants share their personal stories as people who were harmed by their own gambling or the gambling of someone close to them.

Through creative workshops the participants share their stories, develop confidence and work with an artistic director to craft performances. They then share their stories through live community awareness raising performances and Professional Development performance and discussion sessions.

The PD sessions are especially relevant to staff from family violence, mental health, financial counselling, justice and AOD sectors.

The Three Sides of the Coin project supports individuals’ recovery journeys and provides peer-support. As well as raising awareness of gambling harm, reducing stigma of seeking help and advocating for gambling to be viewed from a public health perspective. Also available is the book From Ruin to Recovery an anthology of stories.
